October Featured Car

Each month we will choose a different submitted vehicle to feature on our website. Just Register on our website and then email us pictures of your vehicle to contactus@triquemfg.com along with any information about your vehicle you would like included. We will add all pictures that we receive to our gallery, but the vehicle that is chosen will be featured by itself along with a write up provided by the owner of the vehicle. Images will also be used throughout our website for the chosen month. A notice similar to this one will also go out to all of our registered members. Due to this being something new we are trying, we are a little slow getting this months feature going. November's feature will be another Trique Mfg. employees vehicle (this months is Steve Turnbow). Employees vehicle are being used to give us enough time to receive your entries. December, we will choose the first official feature car. So make sure to submit your pictures. All entries that are chosen as a featured vehicle will receive a FREE T-SHIRT!!!

As stated above, this months featured car is Steve Turnbow's 1930 Ford Tudor Sedan. Here is a picture of Steve's neat Rat Rod, the rest of the pictures can be seen by CLICKING HERE.

Bear claw latches.......be careful how you word things

So many people in this hobby/industry use the phrase bear claw latch to refer to a rotary claw style door latching system for their truck or car. One company/group in our industry has placed a trademark on the term bear claw latch. This is a term that has been used for many years to describe these latches, but now it "belongs" to one group. This was brought to our attention by this group by phone one day. We received a phone call one day demanding the we stop using the phrase in our advertising and website due to the fact that it is trademarked. The caller went on to state that if we would be willing to use their latches in our kit, that we would be able to continue using the bear claw latch phrase with no recourse. Here is the problem we have with that:

1947-1954 Chevy Truck Latch UPDATE!!

Trique Mfg. wants to say thank you again to everyone that pre-ordered their Altman Easy Latch bolt-on bear claw style latch kit for their 1947-1954 Chevy Trucks. The response was amazing!!! We are currently working to process all of the orders that we received. We did however run into a small snag. One of the most crucial elements to the latch kit (the actual paws) were lost in transit after they left the facility that does our black oxide coating. The container the paws were in "broke open" on one of the trucks, but they can not seem to tell us which trailer the package had been on. They claim the box came down the conveyor belt empty. Seems to me like someone had to put the empty box on the conveyor belt to begin with. Did they not see the 1600 pieces of steel laying in the floor of the trailer? The whole thing has been very UPSetting. The good news is that our friends over at ACC cut us some new paws and they have already been delivered. They will be coated Monday and we will be back on track. Everything else is in place and it looks like we only lost about three days (not including the weekend). We apologize to everyone that has been waiting on their kit and we want you to know that we are doing everything in our power to get them out the door without sacrificing the quality of our products.

To those of you that have not ordered yet you are in luck. Because of this issue we are going to continue the 15% discount until we begin shipping latches out. That means you have until May 12th to get 15% off. After that they go to their regular price of $349.95.
